Since the society was established in February 2005, three members have visited Palestine and have travelled around the West Bank and East Jerusalem, meeting people and recording their stories. Places visited include Ramallah, Hebron, East Jerusalem, Bethlehem and many smaller towns and villages. The visits also included trips to the many refugee camps that surround these areas. These camps are homes to thousands of Palestinans who live in dire poverty and hardship as a direct result of the occupation. Currently the video and photo footage of these trips is being compiled into a short documentary which will be shown on campus in the near future.

It is interesting to note that during both visits to Palestine, the society members met with and interviewed Mordechai Vanunu. These interviews are among only a handful of video interviews that have been conducted with him since his release from prison. To read more about Vanunu click here
