The Folk Group









We are mad bunch of people who meet up every Thursday (although, it may now be Wednesday again...)night to sing a few songs in the local MONALEEN GAA CLUB. That is where we have our regular sessions(the musical kind, of course), although we can also be found around the college and every Sunday night at 7.30 in Milford Church singing Folk Mass for the students of this University and the community.




Twice a term we invade Spanish Point, a sleepy ickle village in West Clare. The owners of The Crosses of Annagh didn't even know what hit'em last time we paid them a visit. Wicked sessions, hikes in the Burren, trips to Fanore and the Cliffs of Moher are only some of the things we get up to here. Check out our main web site and find out what the craic is!

Three of our members have taken it upon themselves to create their own sequel to "THE MATRIX". Shooting, I am led to believe, will start in early spring somewhere around Spanish Point, with other members of the Folk Group co-starring. So far, however, the budget has only allowed them to equip themselves with the necessary shades. A sponsorship ralley is being thought out as we speak!!!

Plans to shoot their own sequel to "The Matrix" had to be abandoned due to one of the cast emigrating to Spain. We may be looking for a replacement in the not-so-distant future.
