The Race night which will be held on Friday March 1st in the South Court Hotel starting at 8pm is for all the family, and a night of fun is guaranteed.
A 38,000 fundraising target has been set by eight Students from the University of Limerick Outreach Society who are planning a June Jungle Trek Expedition in Thailand in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation. This race night is one of the many events which are being run to reach this target.
The Meningitis Research Foundation fights to prevent death and disability resulting from meningitis and septicaemia by promoting awareness of the diseases and by funding vital scientific research into their detection, treatment and prevention. Unfortunately to date, Ireland still has the highest number of cases in Europe.
