Classical Fencing Ireland endeavors to fulfil a number of roles & objectives.

Practical

Promote the practice of both Classical and Historical Fencing in Ireland.

Supplementary to the above, Classical Fencing Ireland shall:

• Support research into materials that will facilitate a more exact practice of Classical and Historical Fencing.
• Serve as a resource center to those interested in Classical and Historical Fencing in Ireland.
• Foster links with organisations in other countries.

Historical

The international Classical And Historical Fencing movements are a continuation of the living historical tradition of sword use in europe.
It shall be an objective of Classical Fencing Ireland to unearth the historical evidence of this tradition in Ireland.
