16th June 2007 - MBUL Search for the Holy Trail Race, Killaloe

• This year MBUL will host round 5 of the Cross Country National Points Series (NPS), in association with 'The Bike Shop' O'Connell Avenue, Limerick. The race will be held in Crag Wood, Killaloe on Saturday the 16th of June. Although the forest will be closed for general use, spectators are welcome. Map to Race Course.

25th July 2006 - MBUL has a New Jersey

• MBUL recently took delivery of our order of club Jerseys from Owayo.com. They did a great job and we and our sponsors are very pleased with the final result... Here's a picture.

  30th July 2006 - MBUL Search for the Holy Trail Race, Killaloe

  • This year MBUL will host a round of the Cross Country National Points Series Race (NPS) for the first time. The race will be held in Crag Wood, Killaloe on Sunday the 30th of July. Although the forest will be closed for general use, the members of the club welcome any spectators who want to support the huge number of riders expected to attend. More information.

  25th Febuary 2006 - IV Round 3 in Killaloe

  • MBUL will host the third round of the Mountain Bike Intervarsities on Saturday 25th Febuary in Crag Woods outside Killaloe, the same venue as last year's search for the holy trail race. Map to the race course is here (75k).

  4th April 2006 - MBUL Meeting

  • MBUL held a meeting amongst its members on Monday 3rd April at 6.30pm. The items for discussion on the agenda were: Committee - Expansion of the club as it stands, e.g. new members, next year, etc. - Bike booking policy - Moderation/ forum policy - Conduct on cycles - AOB

    The meeting ran until 8pm and the minutes are available to any member who wishes to view them, by emailing mtbclub@skynet.ie

  • MBUL have once again emerged as the team champions in round two of the Mountain Bike Intervarsity XC series. We must be doing something right then :-D ...

• MBUL entered three riders in the Mountain Bike Cross Country Intervarsity race, held in Ballinastoe woods in Co. Wicklow on Saturday 12th November. Out of a field of 15 riders, MBUL finished 2nd, 3rd and 6th, making us the Intervarsity champions... Photos

22nd/23rd October 2005 - Club Trip to Wicklow

• MBUL heads to Wicklow this weekend for trails and other messing. Cost per person is 20yoyo, bus leaves Plassey Village at approximately 8am on Saturday morning. That is all...

3rd March 2005 - Download MBUL Videos!!

• After much Feelming, messing about and losing the first draft at 4am thanks to a software crash, the first MBUL street video of 2005 is ready here. The file is 15MB in size and lasts just under 3mins.

27rd September 2005 - Clubs Day Tomorrow!!

• Anyone interested in signing up for the club can meet us in the Canteen in the B Block from about 9:30am till 16:00/17:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00 in the University Arena... That is all :-)

19th/20th March 2005 - Trip to Wicklow to Meet EPIC

• We're planning a trip to Wicklow to visit the folks in the EPIC mountain bike club and sample some of their trails. The Saturday spin is a beginner level one, with the Sunday spin for more experienced people. Email mtbclub@skynet.ie if you want to go.

8th Oct 2004 - AGM

• The AGM went ahead as planned on 7th Oct. A new committee was elected, results here. Unfortunately, the raffle didn't go ahead last night, it will happen next week the winner will be notified by e-mail.

• The MBUL AGM will be held in Room 4 of the SU on thursday the 7th of october at 7pm. Attendance by all MBUL members would be appreicated as a new commitee will have to be voted in. A 50 euro HMV voucher will be raffled between all attending new members at the meeting

• Ok, so the AGM wasn't on every night since October 14th, my apolagies.
• For those with a persuasion to fitness, there will be a bit of a saturday morning milage session, contact Cormac for details.
• Have the forms for affiliation, just have to hold off till we get the price.

14-10-2003 - AGM Tonight....

• New committee was voted in and is now in the contacts page.
• I finally got around to updating this.
• Rumour has it a trip to Corrin Woods in Fermoy departs UL at half 8 this Saturday morning, camping the night there and returning Sunday evening.
• We have an article in An Focal, though I still have to find mention of yer ma in it.

• Three MBUL teams competed in our second visit to the Mountain Mayhem 24hr race.
• Well done to all involved in placing 88^th, 117^th and 219^th. Photos will be up soon.

08-06-2003 - Pog Chase

• Several MBUL regulars headed to Wicklow for the weekend and competed in the Pog Chase XC race.
• We placed 17^th, 12^th, 11^th and a brilliant 4^th in Sport Men with one DNF. Big thanks to WORC for a brilliant course and a great event.
