Presenting the worlds first VRML Clock!

Fixed AGAIN (I think) - this clock is not Swiss ;-)
Now has ASCIItext nodes showing numbers on the clock!

Click on your Time Zone: (you need a VRML viewer)

Apologies about the inaccuracy of the time zones, I still haven't got a proper zone map..
(feel free to mail me with the correct time in your country)

Clicking again on the clock will regenerate itself with the correct time.

This is achieved by anchoring the clock to itself, when contacting itself it passes the offset from GMT so that the regenerated clock is from the same time-zone.

NB by 'bookmarking' the clock (not this page) after you have received it you can click on it at anytime to receive the correct time!

MORE VRML
My Final year project thesis: A VRML Data Visualistion Tool is now online

This Clock is generated on the fly by a cgi binary. The clock is visually very basic, using only primitives but it is small and downloads quickly.

I'm looking for a summer job (Early June to October - perhaps longer/permanent) in the United States to do with VRML, Java, Multimedia etc. My CV is online.
This page has been tested with WorldView, Live3D, Webspace, VR Scout and VRweb (available by following this VRML link). Live3D unfortunatly modifies the WWWAnchor so that clicking on the clock again ALWAYS generates Greenich Mean Time..

More information about VRML can be found at The VRML Repository.

This is based on the excellent work of all the VRML developers across cyberspace...

I am in my final year of study as an Undergraduate in Information Technology & Telecommunications at the University of Limerick. I am working on a 3D data visualisation tool using VRML for my final year project.
