Emmmm... So What's Polo?
Canoe Polo is a game of two teams played in canoes. Not on horses. No horses. So no jokes about horses either. Trust me, they're terrible. All of them. Yes, even that one about the horse, the rabbi and the priest.
Anyway, polo is a game of two teams played in canoes. Each team has five players and is allowed three rotating subs. Rotating in that a player can go off and come back on, not that a player must spend their time not on the pitch turning around. Halves are between seven and ten minutes long with between one and three minutes between the halves. The goals are suspended 2 metres above the water and consist of a 1.0 by 0.5 metre box with a net. Players are only allowed hold the ball for five seconds before they have to pass it. Its like basketball in boats. Well sort of... You get to push people over. Its fun...
