Eclipsed, written by Patricia Burke-Brogan, is set in Ireland in the 1960s in the laundry of a Nunnery. It focusses upon the lives of the women who work there; 'penitent' women whom have given birth to children outside of marriage, and are thus locked up in these establishments in order to pay penance for their sins. This performance was the final show of my Undergraduate Degree in the summer of 2002, and was a co-design with Mr Sholto Pringle-Pattison. Between us, we created a design scheme based upon the concepts of 'washing away your sins', and the endless drudgery and never-ending cycle of the womens lives. The show was directed by Ms Sarah Baxter. Computer Generated images created in the 'Wysiwyg' Lighting
