The basis of T/TCP are the new options, CC, CCnew and CCecho. These control the bypassing of the 3-Way Handshake and the extra validation of each of the packets, thus improving on the current TCP reliability and speed.
The CC options are incorporated in the TCP packet header seen in figure 3.1. They are set into the ``Options'' field of the header.
