To My Mother (17-3-2000) |

I looked through my pain, and I saw yours, and yours was far greater. Trying to reach me, you revealed it, and your pain became mine I need you to look me in the face and tell me you're ok. To tell me to my face that you're alright. |
The burden of pain through the years has crushed you. I see that now. Something so old, so deep, so secret, so alone. Alone you bore this, alone you cried. There's nothing I can do to make it ok. Nothing I can say to make it alright. |
