Newtonards Airshow July 1999
I traveled to see the Newtonards Airshow in July 1999 with the chaps Fabo and Heno. (Names withheld for no reason) The show was enjoyable with a nice selection of mainly propeller aircraft (which I like) and some interesting displays. The day was marred however by the terrible weather. It was drizzling most of the time. That said it was a puzzler how a 50 year old Spitfire could fly in such conditions yet the same conditions caused the cancellation of the RAF Nimrod modern day maritime patrolller display??
The pics were taken with a compact camera which explains why out of 60 photos developed I have only 12 that are even slightly presentable! Lesson - Get a good camera. I do have lots of pictures of specs in cloud.
