Abstract
Imagine a 3d-space as it is filled by a crystalline structure.
As crystals begin to form they grow initially as cubes until contact is made with adjacent crystals.

until all the space is filled or until further contact is made with another crystal.
Assumed however is that there is an abundant supply of material to form the crystals.
